Kemudian jarak tempat duduk ke tanah setinggi 32,9 inci sehingga dapat dikatakan kamu dapat menapakan kedua kaki ke tanah jika kamu memiliki tinggi badan minimal 170 cm. Membahas tampilan motor ini, perlu kamu ketahui bahwa Yamaha XSR 700 didesign oleh Bike Builder legendaris Jepang yakni Shinya Kimura, yang menyebutkan bahwa konsep utama design motor ini adalah Timeless Beauty. Melihat tampilan motor ini, tampaknya Shinya Kimura berhasil menghidupkan kembali ingatan pencinta otomotif akan nama besar Yamaha XS Series. Yamaha XSR 700 memiliki lekukan dan garis tegas pada tampilannya; design headlamp yang memiliki design bulat, tangki bahan bakar yang ramping namaun kekar, panel samping motor dengan detail bulatan, dan stoplamp yang bulat dan menegaskan kesan klasik pada motor ini. Mesin Yamaha XSR 700 mengusung mesin berkapasitas 689 cc berpendingin cairan, inline twin-cylinder 8-katup, DOHC dengan sistem bahan bakar Injeksi. Mesin motor ini memiliki karakter yang unik, pada rentang rpm rendah hingga menengah tarikan sangat responsif namun relatif mudah dikendalikan, dikombinasikan dengan rpm tinggi mesin ini mampu menghasilkan power maksimum 74,8 PS pada rpm dan torsi maksimum sebesar 68 Nm pada rpm yang dikirimkan secara linier berkat Crossplane Crankshaft. Dengan tenaga yang besar yang dihasilkan, konsumsi bahan bakar Yamaha XSR 700 cukup efisien. Yamaha mengklaim setiap liter BBM mampu menempuh jarak 25 km, namun Matthew Galang dari TopGear Filipina mengungkapkan dalam uji kendara yang dilakukan di Filipina mendapati bahwa konsumsi bahan bakar motor ini adalah 15 km/liter. Meski demikian, hal tersebut masih dianggap wajar bagi mesin motor besar ini. Suspensi & Kaki-Kaki Beralih ke sektor suspensi dan kaki-kaki motor ini. Pada bagian depan, Yamaha menempatkan suspensi tipe inverted teleskopik yang memiliki travel 5,1 inci.
